Create for Creativity is our way of looking to do more good with our notebooks and fledgling business. Our passion for the environment is matched by our one for social equity, both locally and overseas. Through Create For Creativity campaigns we wish to do more in this stead. One of the things we are most thankful for is the creative resources we have had and continue to have access to in the UK. We therefore want to use our platform to help develop such resources for aspiring creatives in areas across the globe that need it most. This we hope to do directly and through partnerships with organisations already on the ground.
For our first Create For Creativity campaign we have collaborated with 4 artists to deliver 8 special edition A5/02 NTRL notebooks. These notebooks have been illustrated on the covers by the artists themselves. Each drawing is unique and a one-off piece. Each ships with its respective Certificate of Authenticity, signed and dated by the creator. All proceeds raised from the sale of these notebooks will be matched by us and donated to the architectural NGO, Article-25.
As an extension of this initiative, 5% of all the proceeds from the sale of our / 03 Notebooks will also be donated.
Article-25 is a not-for-profit architecture practice. The studio works with local practitioners across Africa and Asia in the design and delivery of schools and other essential buildings. From the organisations website:
'Article 25 is an architecture charity based in London. We use design to improve health, livelihood and resilience to disasters. We are driven by Article 25 of United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states that everyone has the right to adequate and dignified shelter. Our vision is of a world where all communities have access to better housing, safe school buildings and effective clinics and hospitals, and we provide the skills and knowledge needed to make this a reality.
Far too many people do not have access to decent shelter and housing, adequate school buildings and effective clinics or hospitals. A well-designed building is one of the most important factors in ensuring a good quality of life. Our goal is to focus on building the necessary foundations for those most in need globally.'
